Cut and Assemble the Mayflower: A Full-Color Paper Model (Dover Crafts: Origami & Papercrafts)

Product Description

She was a medium-size merchant vessel of the seventeenth century, but her cargo was far from ordinary. Aboard the Mayflower were 102 passengers, known today as the Pilgrims, who fled religious persecution in Europe for freedom in the New World. In the summer of 1620, the small wooden vessel embarked upon her historic voyage. Sixty-six days later, the Pilgrims landed and established the first permanent colony in New England. Hobbyists can celebrate the historic voyage the pilgrims took over 400 years ago by creating their own authentic full-color model of the reconstructed ship visited by thousands each year in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Step-by-step instructions and easy-to-follow diagrams enable hobbyists of all ages to assemble a sturdy 17-inch model of the Mayflower II.
