20 Christmas Carols for the Bowed Psaltery

Product Description

Several people asked me to make a second book of Christmas tunes for the psaltery, but to include some more secular tunes. And so I’ve even included a version of Jingle Bells — you can’t get more secular than that! It’s probably the best known of all the Christmas Carols, and it’s a lot of fun to play. Try giving it a bit of rhythm, syncopation, maybe, making it bounce. The tunes are arranged as duets except for the 12 Days of Christmas, and Rise Up Shepherds — that’s a tune with it’s own structure. The songs include: Angels From Their Realms of Glory, The Boar’s Head Carol, Go Tell it on the Mountain, Good Christian Men Rejoice, He is Born, the Holy Child, Holly and the Ivy, How Far is it to Bethlehem?, I Wonder as I Wander, Jingle Bells, Joy to the World, Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee, O Come All Ye Faithfull, O Christmas Tree, The Riddle Song, Rise Up Shepherds and Follow, Silent Night, Sing We Now of Christmas, The Snow Lay on the Ground, Twelve Days of Christmas, Wassail Song
