The Station Rotation Model and UDL: Elevate Tier 1 Instruction and Cultivate Learner Agency

Product Description

Transform the Student Experience with the Station Rotation ModelIn today’s classrooms, educators are working with students who bring a wide range of strengths, needs, interests, and experiences to the learning environment. While this diversity enriches classroom communities, it also requires instructional models that are flexible, inclusive, and responsive. The Station Rotation Model is a blended learning model that rotates students through a series of stations, or learning activities. When implemented thoughtfully, station rotation balances strategic technology use with meaningful offline learning experiences, ensuring students engage in diverse, dynamic, and interactive learning opportunities. It presents a clear path to accommodating learner variability in the classroom while also fostering a more engaging and effective learning environment for all, removing barriers, providing flexible learning pathways, and enabling students to make meaning on their own and with their peers.Drawing on years of experience, Catlin R. Tucker shows educators how to put the principles and guidelines at the heart of UDL into practice using the Station Rotation Model. Using clear examples and well-crafted strategies, Tucker offers an incredible tool for educators seeking to prioritize differentiation and student agency to elevate the teaching and learning experience for everyone.
