For thin sheet metal (under 0.06"), higher skill is needed to avoid burn-through. ⚠️ Not suitable for welding aluminum.
Rod Compatibility Made Simple – 90%+ Rod Types Supported Works with 90%+ common stick electrodes including E6010, E6011, and E6013 in 1/16" to 1/8" diameters. For alkaline rods like E7018, a higher-power machine is recommended for best results. Quick polarity guide: for acidic rods (included), connect holder to (+) and clamp to (–); for alkaline rods, reverse the connections. The included 3/32" XG J422 rods (similar to E6013) are ideal for clean, thin-material practice welds. Easy maintenance: periodically clear dust from the cooling vents and check the fan to keep the mini welder running reliably.
