Better Crema and Taste: Benifit from espresso shot will come in contact with no other surface than the bottom of the portafilter basket. No portafilter bottom and no spout. This keeps the tiny Crema bubbles we all look for in a perfect shot intact and unharmed. Furthermore the lack of a spout allows espresso directly into the cup for serving in most cases.

If the extraction leans to one side or the other an improper angle was used when tamping. It's a must-have for those looking to improve their espresso quality.

Product Description
Tongtsin coffee bottomless portafilter allows you to see the espresso as it exits the basket. This allows you to immediately identify any faults in your dosing or tamping skill. You may be tamping slightly unevenly without releasing it. with a 54mm bottomless portafilter you will see espresso leaving one side of the basket before other side instead of it appearing evenly, something which would be impossible to gauge with a spouted portafilter. A bottomless portafilter can prove very useful in identifying channeling You can evaluate the number of channels, their direction, oreentation and speed, etc. Then you can use this data to reflect on your process. For instance, a large number of channels over the peripheries suggest that your tamper doesn't exert enough pressure in that area. 54mm bottomless portafilter, a perfect tool to improve your barista skill.
