About this item

• LEARN TO PLAY IN MINUTES: just tap with your hands to explore the variety of tones; the Meinl Bongo Cajon is a perfect instrument for getting the confidence to play percussion with no experience
• WHY IT MATTERS: a lot of fun musical adventures don't require time-consuming practice or fine-tuning an instrument; with the Meinl Bongo Cajon, you can easily play along with acoustic music, jam with friends, teach classes, or bring to drum circles
• HOW IT WORKS: the smooth hardwood playing surface produces high and low pitches just like bongo drums—along with the warm wood tone of a cajon; move your hands between the left and right sides to get variation in pitch
• ONE BIG THING: you'll never have to tune this instrument; underneath is a wood divider permanently placed to separate pitches (it will never change pitch, even outdoors); don't spend time dealing with tuning or changing worn out heads
• BE SMART: we craft this bongo cajon with 100% real Siam oak which gives the instrument a natural, warm wood tone; made with NO cheap, glued-on, plasticky laminates that only look like wood
• BY THE NUMBERS: 15 3/4" W x 7 1/4" D x 6 3/4" H; 3 lbs
• THE BOTTOM LINE: this is a fun acoustic instrument that's portable, sturdy, well-built, and versatile for any skill level; ready to play right out of the box (no tuning required)
• THE BIG PICTURE: Meinl is a family-owned musical instrument manufacturer and brand established 1951 in Germany; our expert German designers have deep relationships with our builders to ensure you're delivered the absolute finest quality
