About this item

  • SECURES FIXTURES TO HOLLOW WALLS: This hollow wall anchor fastens fixtures firmly to drywall, plaster, and tile, spreading behind the surface so a shelf, rail, or fitting holds solid where there is no stud to screw into.
  • LEGS SPREAD BEHIND THE SURFACE: As the screw tightens, the anchor's split legs draw up and spread out flat against the back of the wall, clamping the material between them for a strong, wobble-free grip that will not pull straight out.
  • EXTRA-SHORT GRIP FOR THIN WALLS: The extra-short body suits wall thicknesses from one-eighth to one-quarter of an inch, so it seats correctly in thin panels, tile, and hollow-core doors where a longer anchor would bottom out or spin.
  • ZINC-PLATED STEEL: Made from steel with a zinc plating for moderate rust protection, the anchor stays secure in interior walls over time; a pilot hole is required, so drill first, then set the anchor and drive the screw for a firm hold.
  • TRUSTED HILLMAN QUALITY: Hillman supplies dependable anchors, fasteners, and hardware that homeowners and pros rely on for everyday projects. Keep an assortment on hand for mounting, hanging, and repair jobs around the home, shop, and site.

Product Description

Hillman Hollow Wall Anchors let you fasten fixtures firmly to a wall where there is no stud to screw into. They are made for drywall, plaster, and tile, gripping from behind the surface so a shelf bracket, towel rail, mirror, or light fitting holds solid on a hollow wall rather than working loose or tearing out. The anchor holds by spreading its legs. As you tighten the screw, the split legs of the anchor draw upward and fold out flat against the back of the wall, clamping the panel between the flange in front and the spread legs behind for a strong, wobble-free grip that resists being pulled straight back out. This is the extra-short version, sized for wall thicknesses from one-eighth to one-quarter of an inch. That short grip length lets it seat and set correctly in thin panels, tile, and hollow-core doors, where a longer anchor would bottom out against the back or fail to expand fully and spin in the hole. Made from steel with a zinc plating for moderate protection against rust and corrosion, the anchor stays secure in interior walls. A pilot hole is required: drill first, tap the anchor in, then drive the screw to expand it. This twenty-piece pack keeps plenty on hand for hanging shelves, rails, mirrors, and fixtures and for repair projects around the home and shop. From the Manufacturer Primarily used in drywall, the hollow wall anchor is a medium duty fastener. Once the body of the anchor is installed, the screw can be removed and items can be changed without disrupting the anchor. The tip has a drive point to pierce drywall easily
