About this item
- GREAT-TASTING, CLEARER WATER - Reduces chlorine taste and odor for fresher whole-house water, with a low pressure drop that keeps flow strong at every tap and fixture in the home.
- RADIAL FLOW REDUCES CARBON FINES - A bed of granular activated carbon is sandwiched between a porous polyethylene outer shell and a polypropylene core, so the radial flow design significantly cuts the carbon fines common to standard GAC cartridges.
- TESTED AND CERTIFIED - The RFC-BB is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements; durable polypropylene end caps and core stand up to continuous whole-house use.
- FITS 10-INCH BIG BLUE HOUSINGS - Measures 10" x 4.5" and fits all 10-inch Pentair Pentek Big Blue and other heavy-duty housings; drops in to replace any 10" x 4.5" carbon cartridge.
- 50,000-GALLON CAPACITY - An ideal high-flow carbon stage for point-of-entry systems; delivers up to 50,000 gallons at just 0.9 psi drop at 2 gpm. Replace every 6 to 12 months or when taste and odor return.
Product Description
Pentair Pentek RFC Series Cartridges are constructed with a 70-micron porous polyethylene outer shell and durable polypropylene endcaps. The 2-3⁄4" outer diameter cartridges have a polypropylene core and the 4-1⁄2" outer diameter cartridges incorporate a spun polypropylene core. Sandwiched between the outer shell and the core is a bed of granular activated carbon (GAC). The unique radial flow design offers the benefits of granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration, such as low pressure drop, while at the same time significantly reducing the release of carbon fines commonly associated with GAC-style cartridges. Pentek RFC Series Cartridges are available in a wide variety of sizes and are ideal for point-of-entry (POE) and other high flow rate applications
