The Guardian 10927 Halo-Edge SRL is a 50' Class 2 self-retracting lifeline designed for leading edge and sharp edge fall protection. Built with an all-metal housing and a 360-degree swiveling top connection, it delivers durability and mobility in the toughest environments. A galvanized steel cable resists cuts and abrasions, while a rubber lifeline stopper doubles as a hand grip for added convenience. The integrated shock pack cover extends product life and protects critical labels. With a fall-indicating snap hook to signal if the device has been involved in a fall, and QR-code enabled labeling for instant access to manuals and inspection records, the Halo-Edge SRL is a dependable solution across construction, oil & gas, mining, telecom, and general industry. From the Manufacturer The Guardian Fall Protection “Edge Series Heavy Duty Retractable” is designed to be used specifically for leading edge work. With an integrated shock pack attached to the cable lifeline, the retractable will keep the arresting forces below 900 pounds; while at the same time reduce the amount of impact forces on the cable lifeline itself. The ideal position of a retractable is directly overhead. Often, contractors will place a retractable on the deck and use it at foot level. Almost all retractable lifelines on the market are not allowed to be used in this manner if the worker is exposed to a leading edge hazard. Adding the integrated shock pack to the retractable lifeline will help reduce the impact forces of the cable as it comes into contact with the leading edge.
