Product Information

About this item

• MOUNTS YOUR OUTDOOR LIGHT, CAMERA, OR SENSOR WITH PROPER WEATHERPROOF PROTECTION: The RAB VXC 4" round die-cast aluminum box gives your outdoor floodlight, motion sensor, Ring camera, or outlet installation a code-ready, waterproof foundation. Pre-tapped ground screw hole and included close-up plugs arrive correctly sized and ready to install — no missing hardware, no return trips to the store.
• HEAVY DIE-CAST ALUMINUM THAT SURVIVES WHAT PLASTIC CANNOT: typical polycarbonate boxes crack at the screw tabs in less than one season outdoors. The VXC's precision die-cast aluminum housing resists impact, UV, and corrosion year after year. UL Listed for wet, damp, and dry locations; the same industrial-grade material RAB specifies for commercial outdoor electrical applications.
• FITS YOUR 1/2" CONDUIT AND ACCEPTS COVER PLATES IN MINUTES: The 4" round box accepts standard 1/2" threaded conduit fittings on all side knockouts. Close-up plugs accept Phillips or slotted screwdrivers, whichever you have at hand. Compatible with standard 4" weatherproof cover plates. For fixtures over 20 lbs, RAB's XC series cover plate provides the load-rated support your installation needs.
• THREE FINISHES TO MATCH ANY INSTALLATION, BRONZE, BLACK, OR WHITE: Choose VXCA (Bronze aluminum) for traditional fixtures, VXCB (Black) for modern or dark installations, or VXCW (White); which adds a 1/8" thick closed-cell EPDM foam gasket for a long-lasting, airtight seal that won't crumple or degrade. One box family, three options, every outdoor application covered.
• RAB LIGHTING 80 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICAL QUALITY: Since 1946, RAB Lighting has supplied professional electricians, contractors, and facility managers with commercial-grade outdoor electrical components. The VXC series meets that same standard: pre-tapped grounding, correct hardware included, and built to the tolerances professionals depend on, now available for your home installation.
