The Pentair Pentek BP-420-1 is a replacement filter bag from the BP Series, built for high dirt-holding sediment filtration in bag filter housings. It is made from glazed polypropylene felt, a media chosen for its high solids-loading capacity compared with similar mesh fabrics, so it captures a heavy load of dirt, sand, silt, and debris while supporting faster bag change-outs. The 1 micron rating makes it well suited to applications that call for fine particle reduction and cleaner water.The glazed finish is created by melting the outermost surface fibers, forming a secure bond that reduces the possibility of fiber migration into the filtered stream. Polypropylene felt also offers broad chemical compatibility, making the bag suitable for use with acids, alkalis, corrosive fluids, oils, and organic solvents. The bag is rated for fluids up to 200 degrees F (93.3 degrees C).This bag measures 4" x 18" (102 mm x 457 mm), the 420 size, and is designed to fit Pentair BPHE-410 and BPHE-420 bag filter housings for a simple drop-in replacement. Replace the bag when you notice a drop in flow or a rise in pressure across the housing; bag life varies with incoming water quality.
