The Pentair OMNIFilter WH5 is a 10-inch standard clear filter housing that forms the base of a whole-house filtration setup for an average-size home with 3/4-inch water lines. Installed at your main line, it lets you filter sediment, rust, chlorine taste and odor, and more from every tap once you add the cartridge that matches your water. The clear Styrene-Acrylonitrile (SAN) sump lets you see the cartridge and know at a glance when it is time for a change.The molded cap is made of reinforced polypropylene and includes an integral mounting bracket, so there is no separate bracket to buy. The housing has 3/4-inch NPT inlet and outlet ports and accepts any 10-inch standard cartridge from 2-1/4 to 3-1/8 inches in diameter, including Pentair OMNIFilter cartridges such as TO1, RS1 and RS2, plus 10-inch standard cartridges from other major brands.A housing wrench, mounting screws and an installation manual are included; a filter cartridge is sold separately so you can build the system around your needs. At each cartridge change, seat the O-ring properly in its groove for a dependable, water-tight seal.
