They are light and airy with a real taste of lemon. These pancakes really do have the taste of lemon pie. The lemon taste is distinctive, not too strong to match up with your favorite syrup. And they make great, crisp waffles. These pancakes are slightly sweeter than most other pancakes. They still need a syrup or jam. Maple syrup works well but blueberry syrup and lemon is the classic combination. Strawberry syrup and raspberry syrup also work well as do the cream syrups
