Ampersand Gessobord | 8x10 | 1.5" Cradled | Oil & Acrylic Painting Panel

About this item

• Archival-Quality Surface – Our Museum Series panels feature Archiva-Seal, preventing Support Induced Discoloration (SID). Finished with acid-free acrylic gesso for lasting oil and acrylic paint results. The Archiva-Seal is applied pre-gesso for a perfectly primed wood panel canvas.
• Ideal for Oil and Acrylic Paints – Excellent for mixed media, casein, graphic markers, collage, paint pour, image transfers, oil paint. The semi-smooth, professional gesso finish is perfect for detail painters, portrait artists, and illustrators who need crisp brushstrokes and precise control. Strong enough for palette knives and heavy layering, yet refined for brittle media. This archival panel offers lasting, durable and reliable surface for fine art, art class supplies, workshops, painting kit, arts and crafts, and art supplies for adults.
• Premium Hardbord Core – Crafted on Ampersand’s FSC-certified, high-density hard board, engineered to resist warping and damage. Stronger and more durable than stretched canvas, canvas panels, Masonite, MDF, art paper, or unfinished wood canvas boards. Hardbord provides the rigid foundation that makes Gessobord a reliable choice for professional painting supplies, giving artists confidence that their work will remain stable, flat, and archival for generations.
• Better Than Canvas – Unlike stretched canvas, mini canvas, canvas panels, or canvas boards for painting, our hard wood panel won’t sag, stretch, or show distracting weave texture. The ultra-smooth surface and precise edges allow artwork to extend cleanly from edge to edge, without fabric folds or corner wraps. Colors stay vibrant, brushstrokes crisp, and fine detail sharp, giving artists superior painting control for both fine art and any craft hobby project.
• Crafted in the USA – For over 30 years, Ampersand has set the standard in handcrafted painting panels and professional art supplies. Trusted by museum conservators, professional artists, educators, and hobbyists across America and worldwide, our archival-quality wood panels deliver unmatched durability and fine art performance.
