About this item
- High-Volume Backup Protection: Delivers up to 22 gallons per minute under rated operating conditions to help protect basements from flooding. This automatic water powered backup sump pump activates when your primary pump cannot keep up or loses power.
- Runs Without Electricity: Powered entirely by municipal water pressure, the system requires no electricity, batteries, charger, or generator. Water flows through an internal venturi to create suction, allowing dependable operation during power outages as long as municipal water service remains available.
- Easy Installation Options: Includes plumbing components and detailed installation instructions for straightforward setup. Many homeowners can install the system themselves, although local plumbing codes may require a licensed plumber. The ceiling-mounted design is compatible with many sealed radon cover installations when installed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Reliable and Quiet Operation: Designed with minimal moving parts for dependable, low-maintenance performance and quiet operation. The included 85 dB high water alarm provides an audible alert if water rises above normal levels, helping provide early warning before flooding occurs.
- Helpful Installation Tips: Verify adequate municipal water pressure before installation and follow the included instructions carefully. A dedicated discharge line is generally recommended unless local plumbing codes approve another configuration. Avoid restricting water flow or using undersized plumbing to help achieve the best pumping performance.
