Product Description

This jumbo Rain Forest Floor Puzzle features beautiful original artwork that depicts a lush rain forest scene. Kids can learn about different kinds of animals that make the rain forest their home, as well as recognize some of their favorites including monkeys and butterflies. The large floor puzzle measures an impressive two feet by three feet when it's assembled, and the 48 extra-thick cardboard pieces feature an easy-to-clean surface to keep it looking like new. Playing with this Rain Forest puzzle is a great way for kids to explore the hidden world of the rain forest while developing their cognitive, physical, and emotional skills. When children work on puzzles, they are fine-tuning their gross motor skills, improving their hand-eye coordination, strengthening their problem-solving skills, and beginning to develop logic and critical thinking processes. This Melissa & Doug puzzle makes an exceptional gift for preschoolers and kids ages three and older for hands-on, screen-free play. This product is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits, and that forests are protected for future generations. Please note that FSC certification applies to new inventory only (FSC C156584) Amazon.com Oversized puzzles give children a triumphant feeling because they offer an end result that is massively impressive. This particular 2-by-3-foot puzzle depicts the lushness of a tropical rainforest. The good news is that it introduces children to unusual critters and habitats they certainly won't encounter in the suburbs, such as lemurs, tigers, and toucans. Unfortunately, the manufacturer didn't label the rain forest critters or offer an informational sheet with the names and characteristics of all these animals--a missed opportunity for extra learning. Of course, preschoolers won't mind. They're simply delighted to construct this elaborate 48-piece kingdom right on the household carpet. --Hannah Reynolds P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); From the Manufacturer From classic wooden toys to crafts, pretend play, and games, Melissa & Doug products provide a launch pad to ignite imagination and a sense of wonder in all children so they can discover themselves, their passions, and their purpose.
