- Extra Fast Flashing at 6Hz with 590-595nm yellow output - Built-in flash IC drives the die at approximately 6 flashes per second (6Hz strobe rate) with 1.9-2.1V forward voltage at 20mA drive current. Clear lens emits 8,000-10,000 mcd within a 20-30 degree viewing cone for concentrated on-axis visibility.
- Standard 5mm radial through-hole package - 5mm DIP body with two leads on standard 2.54mm pitch fits universal perfboard, breadboard, and PCB footprints. Internal flasher circuit is integrated into the LED die assembly, so external form factor matches a non-flashing 5mm radial part.
- Polarity and resistor reference - Through-hole LEDs are polarity-sensitive: longer lead is anode (+), shorter lead is cathode (-). For 20mA drive current with a 1.8-2.2V LED, use a series resistor of 150 ohm 1/4W on 5V, 360 ohm 1/4W on 9V, 510 ohm 1/4W on 12V, or 680 ohm 1/2W on 15V. Built-in animation IC requires steady regulated DC - NOT compatible with DCC track power, AC, or pulsing supplies.
