• High-output cool white tower LED - 1.8mm cylindrical tower package delivers 8,000-10,000 mcd through a clear lens with a focused 20-30 degree viewing angle. Forward voltage 3.0-3.4V at 20mA drive current produces a soft incandescent-style cool white glow ideal for scale interior lighting.
• Sub-miniature 1.8mm through-hole footprint - Cylindrical tower body measures just 1.8mm (roughly 2mm) in diameter, fitting locations where standard 3mm and 5mm LEDs are too bulky. Two radial leads on standard pitch solder into perfboard, PCB pads, or attach to magnet wire for concealed installations in walls, ceilings, and lampshades.
• Polarity and resistor reference - Through-hole LEDs are polarity-sensitive: longer lead is anode (+), shorter lead is cathode (−). For 20mA drive current with a 3.0-3.4V LED, use a series resistor of 100Ω 1/4W on 5V, 300Ω 1/4W on 9V, 470Ω 1/4W on 12V, or 620Ω 1/2W on 15V.
