Near-UV violet emission at 395-405nm wavelength - 1.8mm tower-style through-hole LED delivers 1,000-1,500 mcd output with a 20-30 degree narrow viewing angle through a clear (water-clear) lens. Forward voltage 3.0-3.4V at 20mA drive current. Wavelength sits at the violet edge of the visible spectrum; produces a saturated purple/violet glow with a faint pinkish hue rather than true blacklight UV, so it will not reliably activate fluorescent paints or inks.
1.8mm cylindrical tower package - Compact through-hole (DIP) body measures just 1.8mm in diameter, the smallest standard leaded LED footprint, fitting into spaces where 3mm or 5mm bulbs will not clear. Two long radial leads on standard 2.54mm pitch drop into perfboard, breadboard, or custom PCB layouts. Tower lens profile concentrates output into a tight forward beam.
