Merchant Ambassador Craftsman Deluxe Game House

Product Description

Over the last few years, board games have enjoyed a surge in popularity. As electronic gadgets have become more and more central in our lives, board games are one effective counter-balance, helping us to put down our phones & tablets for a few hours. Board games help us slow down our pace of life, spend time with friends & family, and compete in good spirits over a kitchen table. The appeal should not come as a surprise, as in many ways playing boards games is built into our DNA. Archaeologists have found evidence of humans playing board games all the way back in pre-historic times (before we had written language). The first actual game is something that remain central to board games to this day - dice! A collection of 49 carved painted stones were found in Turkey, and were dated back to the year 5000 BC. These are the earliest known gaming pieces ever found. Similar pieces have been found in what is known as the 'Fertile Crescent', comprising regions around the Nile, Tigris, and Euphrates River in the Middle East. People have been playing board games since civilization began, and it is from this rich history that we have compiled this collection of 10 classic games. The Craftsman classic wood games collection features stunning dark wood finishing on the cases & boards, quality workmanship, and high quality components throughout. They are designed & fabricated to be both great to play with and splendid to look at. This deluxe wooden game house features 10 of the all-time favorite games, including chess, checkers, backgammon, mancala, snakes & ladders, chinese checkers and more.
