Hell on Wheels: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

Product Description

Hell on Wheels tells the epic story of post-Civil War America, focusing on a Confederate solider (Anson Mount) who sets out to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who have killed his wife. His journey takes him west to 'Hell on Wheels,' a dangerous, raucous, lawless melting pot of a town that travels with and services the construction of the first transcontinental railroad, an engineering feat unprecedented for its time. The series explores the railroad's institutionalized greed and corruption, the immigrant experience, and the plight of the newly emancipated African-Americans during reconstruction. Over time, Hell on Wheels chronicles this potent turning point in American history, and how uncivilized the business of civilization can be.Bonus Content:Hell on Wheels: The Complete First Season: Recreating the Past: The Making of Hell on WheelsCrashing a Train: From Concept to CameraSeven Making-of Featurettes Ten "Inside the Episode" FeaturettesSeven Character FeaturettesBehind-the-Scenes FootageHell on Wheels: The Complete Second Season: Back with a Vengeance: The Making of Season 2The Cast on Season 2Set Tour with Anson MountTen "Inside the Episode" FeaturettesHell on Wheels: The Complete Third Season: A Look at Season 3Where Season 2 Left OffFour Behind-the-Scenes FeaturettesTen "Inside the Episode" FeaturettesHell on Wheels: The Complete Fourth Season: A Look at Season 4The New Characters of Season 4Cheyenne Set TourAnson Mount RetrospectiveOn the Set with Colm MeaneyOn the Set with Jake Weber"Inside the Episode" Featurettes Hell on Wheels: Season 5 Volume 1: A Look at Season 5How the Chinese Built AmericaSet Tour with Anson MountSeven "Inside the Episode" FeaturettesHell on Wheels: Season 5 Volume 2 - The Final Episodes: A Look at the Final EpisodesGolden SpikeWrap UpSeven "Inside the Episode" Featurettes
