Evoluent R3K Ergonomic Keyboard, Reduced Reach Wired Keyboard, Number Pad

About this item

• THE NUMBER PAD IS ON THE LEFT: That is the whole idea. Moving the digits to the left of the letters pulls your mouse back in towards your shoulder, instead of parking it a hand's width out past a block of keys.
• ONE-TOUCH SHORTCUT KEYS: Web, email and the rest each get a dedicated key. No holding an Fn key first, which is what most keyboards make you do to save the space.
• SCISSOR SWITCHES, NOT MUSH: A scissor mechanism under each cap gives a crisp, short keystroke with no keycap wobble, and it holds up to a full day of typing.
• FULL-SIZE KEYS AND TACTILE BUMPS: Large arrow keys, proper function keys and raised bumps on Ctrl, Del and Home, so your fingers find them without your eyes leaving the screen.
• WINDOWS, UNIX AND LINUX, NOT MAC: Plug it into any of those and start typing, no driver needed, as long as the system supports Num Lock. It is not compatible with Mac, and that is worth reading twice.
• YOU KEEP THE DIGITS: Most people solve the reach problem by buying a tenkeyless keyboard and giving up the number pad. This keeps it. If you live in a spreadsheet, that is not a small thing.
• WHERE THE STRAIN ACTUALLY COMES FROM: It is not the wrist, it is the shoulder. Every centimetre your mouse sits further right is a centimetre your upper arm holds out to the side, all day, with no support.
• WHO THIS IS FOR: Bookkeepers, analysts, warehouse and order-entry desks, anyone entering figures all day who also lives on the mouse. Two needs that usually pull in opposite directions.
