Product Description

Novica works together with talented artists, artisans, and designers around the world to produce stunning, keepsake handmade treasures.About this item: Thailand's Thatsanee and Ramphan invite you to start your morning with style, crafting this mug of ceramic with the trunk of a charming elephant forming the handle. The artisans finish the mug with a crackled celadon glaze, resulting in a brown and green two-tone design.Dishwasher safe|Features a crackled finish|Free of lead and toxins|Hand-crafted item -- color, size and/or motif may vary slightly|Microwave safeAbout our Artist: Thailand's Ramphan tells her story: 'We are artists in the celadon ceramic tradition, one of the three main ceramic styles in Thailand, dating back many hundreds of years. The traditional green shades of the glaze recall the tonal qualities of jade. Celadon glaze is thick and strong, yet it has many intricate web-like cracks in its surface for an antique feel. The products are beautiful and unique. We work with the sense that we are continuing history, our heritage.'
