Ape Inc. and HAL Laboratory produced the role-playing video game for Nintendo. Ness and his party of four, travel the world collecting melodies while defeating evil alien Giygas. Development spanned five years due to including exotic styles in the score, translating and adopting all the pop-culture references, and beta-testing its vast array of in-game items. In the ensuing years, a dedicated fan community spawned which advocated for the series. Prominent fansites include Starmen.net and EarthBound Central. Even a fan-created sequel, Mother 4, began development. This should tell you enough of HOW under-appreciated this game was back in the days. It is easily! The most under-rated game in the SNES Classic collection. Play it please, with the Guide or without it. It is definitely worth your time and belongs into a top spot of game history. *Check book-preview
