About this item

Pre-wired SMD LED with 6-inch leads - 50 Cool White SMD LEDs pre-wired to 6-inch tinned leads — pre-wired construction suitable for model railroad scale lighting, dollhouse miniatures, cosplay, and tight-space installations
Cool white SMD chip on pre-wired leads - Emits clean cool white light at 350-450 mcd through a clear lens with a 105-120 degree viewing angle. Operates on 9-18V DC at 20mA drive current via an integrated current-limiting resistor sized for the full input range.
0402 imperial (1005 metric) chip footprint - Compact SMD die measures 0402 imperial (1005 metric), pre-soldered to a 15 cm (~6 inch) tinned-end lead pair ready for screw terminals, DC adapters, or battery packs. Lead-out construction fits tight enclosures, scale structures, and miniature assemblies.
Pre-wired construction - Operates directly from a regulated DC source within the 10-18V range. Built-in current-limiting resistor sets drive current to ~20mA across the input range. Standard 15 cm (~6 inch) tinned-end leads connect to battery packs, DC adapters, or screw terminals. Compatible with model-railroad DCC (Digital Command Control) track power when fed through a function decoder output.
Cool white scale lighting applications - Suited to DCC model railroad modern-era lighting, HO and N scale structure illumination, dollhouse daylight interiors, and miniature dioramas. Cool white output reads as modern daylight for contemporary locomotive headlights, building windows, and scale fixtures.

Product Description

Pre-wired Cool White SMD LED with 6-inch leads, ready for direct connection to a current-limited DC source. Specifications: - LED type: SMD chip, 0402 (imperial) / 1005 (metric) - Color: Cool/Clear White - Lens: Clear - Forward voltage: 9-18V DC - Operating voltage: 10-18V DC - Drive current: 20mA - Luminosity: 350-450 mcd - Viewing angle: 105-120 degrees - Lead length: 15 cm (~6 inch) tinned-end leads - Built-in current-limiting resistor for the stated voltage range Operates from regulated DC and is DCC-compatible (Digital Command Control, the model-railroad track-power protocol) when fed through a function decoder output. The pre-wired leads connect directly to decoder pads or a DC bus without a soldering iron at the LED end. Applications: - DCC model railroad lighting on modern layouts - HO and N scale structure and interior lighting - Dollhouse daylight interior illumination - Miniature and diorama lighting in tight-space wiring runs - Scale-model cab, porch, and lamppost lighting The compact 0402 SMD footprint fits inside N-scale structures, locomotive shells, and miniature fixtures where a through-hole LED will not clear. Cool/Clear White output suits daylight and modern-era prototype lighting.
