PROSPEK Arctic - Blue Light Blocking Computer Glasses with a Lightly Tinted Lens Most blue light glasses make you choose between filtering and color: the more of the blue band a lens cuts, the more yellow everything looks. These PROSPEK lenses sit at the light end of that trade-off - a subtle yellow tint most people stop noticing within a few minutes, chosen so colors stay usable through a full working day. They are not a water-clear lens. WHAT THE LAB MEASURED Our lens was tested by COLTS Laboratories - A2LA-accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 - under ANSI Z80.3 (report O-SPG111015). Measured transmittance: 0.00% UVB, 0.00% UVA, 0.01% at 400nm and 4.9% at 410nm, which is where the "filters up to 99% of high-energy blue light" figure comes from. Filtering tapers off across the rest of the blue band (37% transmittance at 420nm, 66.9% at 450nm), and overall visible-light transmission is 91.6% - which is why the tint stays subtle rather than amber. The full report is on file and published rather than summarized. BUILT FOR LONG SCREEN DAYS Anti-glare and anti-reflective coatings help reduce glare and reflections from monitors and overhead lighting. Scratch- and smudge-resistant coatings keep the lens clear, and the ultra-light frame is designed for long hours in front of a screen. READING MAGNIFICATION, IF YOU NEED IT Available as 0.00 (non-magnifying) or in reading strengths from +0.50 to +3.00 - select yours from the options above. These are non-prescription glasses: they do not correct distance vision and are not a substitute for prescription eyewear or a routine eye exam. FIT AND WHAT IS INCLUDED The Arctic is a white/black square frame; the Dynamic on this page is a rectangular gray frame. Both are a narrow-to-medium adult width, so check the frame measurements in the images if you normally wear a wide frame. Each pair ships with a hard case and a microfiber cloth.
