Product Description

This product is the combination of a disassembled Herm Sprenger prong collar quick-release Black SS martingale training collar with the traditional fastener plate replaced by a custom (not Herm Sprenger) easy-to-use quick snap buckle. The enhanced buckle greatly improves the experience for both you and your dog. Please measure your dog's neck before selecting the correct size to purchase. A pinch collar (also called a prong collar) is a type of metal chain placed around your dog’s neck. Many dog trainers claim that the pinch collar is the most effective collar type tool in training your dog and getting the desired behavior, and is actually safer than many traditional collars that put sustained higher pressure on the dog’s neck and throat. 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 Positive punishment is a technique used by dog trainers and owners when altering the behavior of their dog. This is what positive punishment does. In psychology, when a negative consequence follows a certain behavior, the person or in this case, the dog, avoids the said behavior just to avoid the negative consequence. P𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 Many professional trainers claim that pinch collars are the most effective collar type you can use to train your dogs. Other collar types “squeeze” the neck, and this is both dangerous for the dog and less effective as it does not provide the short, concentrated input like a pinch. Much like humans, a pinch will definitely grab your attention but is ultimately harmless. Measure the size and choose the right collar for your dog. Purchasing the right type and size of prong collar lessens the likelihood your dog will experience discomfort while wearing it. Collars are divided by weight, so know how much your dog weighs before selecting a collar
