Compatibility Notice The Kidde KA-F2 Quick Convert Adapter is designed specifically to convert FireX hardwired smoke alarm wiring connectors to compatible Kidde hardwired smoke and combination alarms. This adapter allows homeowners and installers to replace older FireX smoke alarm models with newer compatible Kidde alarms without rewiring the existing ceiling harness. ⚠️ Important: This adapter is not a universal smoke detector adapter. It will only work when replacing compatible FireX smoke alarms and installing compatible Kidde hardwired alarms that use the Kidde wiring harness. This adapter will not work with other smoke alarm brands, including: First Alert BRK Other non-Kidde smoke detector systems Because smoke alarms use different wiring harness designs depending on the manufacturer, compatibility must be confirmed before purchase. Compatible FireX Models Being Replaced This adapter is commonly used when replacing FireX smoke alarm models such as: FADC ADC AD Compatible Kidde Hardwired Alarm Systems The KA-F2 adapter is intended for use with many Kidde AC/DC hardwired smoke and combination alarms that use the Kidde wiring harness. Please confirm that the Kidde alarm being installed uses the standard Kidde hardwired connector.
