Maya Kaimal Foods - Organic Indian Everyday Rice - Turmeric and Cumin Surekha - 10oz - Pack of 6

About this item

• A DELICIOUS, FULLY COOKED INDIAN RICE: Maya Kaimal's Turmeric + Cumin Organic Surekha Rice is refreshingly different. Grown in South India, this variety has firm grains that never stick together, and on their own they have a sweet-earthy taste. We add ground turmeric and cumin seeds for a subtly aromatic flavor and golden hue that makes this rice an ideal accompaniment to Indian food, or goes beautifully with any cuisine.
• WHAT IS SUREKHA RICE? Surekha (pronounced sir-RAY-ka) is nutritionally closer to brown rice than white rice because of the ancient processing technique of 'parboiling'. After being harvested, the grains get steamed in their husks (not done to conventional rice's) to lock in nutrients and fiber. The process also hardens the grains, so they stay firm and separate.
• KITCHEN-CRAFTED INDIAN FOOD: Maya's inspiration begins with recipes from her family and flavors from her travels, which she thoughtfully reinterprets for today's curious consumers.
• CONVENIENT AND READY TO EAT IN 90 SECONDS: Our Surekha Rice comes fully cooked and can be microwaved and ready to eat in 90 seconds. Complete the meal and pair our rice with your favorite Everyday Dal or Indian Simmer Sauce at home, at work, or on your next camping trip!
• CERTIFIED ORGANIC, NON-GMO PROJECT VERIFIED: Maya Kaimal's Turmeric and Cumin Surekha Rice is Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Kosher, Vegan, Gluten Free and Vegetarian. Our rice contains no preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.
