CFS 0.5 Micron 10x4.5 Carbon Block for W.5CBHD 155170-51 CBC-BB - 2 Pack

About this item

• ✅ABOUT PRODUCT: It is a package of 2 heavy Duty Carbon Water Filter cartridges that are compatible with W.5CBHD, 155170-51 water filter cartridges. It has a larger surface area and has a longer filter life. This water filter cartridge removes more pollutants by providing "depth" filtering.
• ✅SUBMICRON BLOCK, NOT A STANDARD CARBON – At 0.5 micron this block is roughly ten times finer than the 5 micron carbon most housings ship with, so water takes a tighter path through the media and spends longer in contact with it. That contact time is what reduces chlorine taste and odor, and the fine structure also captures the sand, silt, dirt and rust that cloud water. Change about every 6 months.
• ✅BETTER-TASTING WATER FROM EVERY SOURCE – Whether your home runs on municipal tap water or a private well, the carbon reduces the chlorine taste and odor that make water unpleasant to drink and cook with — better-tasting water from the system you already own. For certified reduction of specific contaminants, look for cartridges tested to NSF/ANSI 53 for those claims.
• ✅FITS THESE PART NUMBERS – Direct replacement for W.5CBHD, written by some sellers as W5CBHD, and for part 155170-51. It seats in the heavy duty American Plumber housings that take a 10 inch cartridge. Note that W5CPHD, part 155184-51, is the 5 micron cartridge for the same housing, so it is coarser than this one rather than an equivalent.
• ✅MATCH THE FILTER TO YOUR WATER – Cartridges are maintenance parts, not water treatment plans, and no single one handles everything. Carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor. Sediment media captures sand, silt, dirt and rust. For any specific contaminant you are concerned about, look for a system certified to the NSF/ANSI standard that names it. If you are on a private well, start with a water test.
