PlantMate PMWC-01 is an automatic watering system for indoor potted plants. Unlike a basic timer, it measures soil moisture and waters when the reading is below the target you select. Choose a moisture target from 0% to 98% in 2% steps, select Low, Medium, or High pump flow, and set a maximum water time from 2 to 20 seconds. Recommended starting settings are 92% moisture, High flow, and 8 seconds. During automatic watering, the Cube can operate the pump up to three times, allowing 15 seconds for water to soak into the soil between runs. It stops early after three stable readings reach 5% above the selected target, without exceeding 100%. A confirmed watering is recorded on the Last Watered screen. The Cube normally sleeps between checks to conserve power and wakes approximately every six hours to measure the soil. A flashing blue LED indicates that the water tank may need refilling. At 5% battery or lower, the red LED flashes and pumping is blocked until reliable power is restored. Use four matching 1.5 V alkaline AA batteries for cordless placement or a regulated 5 V USB supply with a USB-C cable. Battery life varies with watering frequency, pump settings, battery condition, and the installation. The package includes the PlantMate Automatic Watering Cube, soil moisture sensor, water pump, tubing, halo watering ring, three support sticks, and quick setup guide.
