Sea Salt Superstore Pool Salt for Saltwater Pool, Chlorine Generator, 40 lb

About this item

• Purity Built for Salt Chlorine Systems: This swimming pool salt is 99.9% pure USP grade sodium chloride, solar harvested from natural sea salt deposits and left unrefined, with no additives at all. Pure salt is what a chlorine generator runs on
• Dissolves Quickly and Evenly: This ultra fine grain salt pool goes into solution fast once the water is circulating, so salinity comes back up without a long wait.
• Fits the System You Already Own: Designed for saltwater pools above ground or in ground, plus hot tubs and spas, running chlorine generators including Ace Freshwater, Hot Spring, Caldera and Chloromatic. Check your manual to confirm your model
• A Full 40 lb in One Box: This size keeps a full 40 lb of pool salt on hand in a single box, which means fewer reorders than the smaller sizes in this range. Keep the box closed and off a damp floor and the fine grain stays loose and easy to pour
• Dosing Without the Guesswork: Most saltwater systems run between 2,700 and 3,400 ppm, which works out to roughly 200 to 300 lb for a 10,000 gallon pool starting from zero. Confirm your own exact target in the chlorine generator manual first
• How to Add It: Spread the salt across the widest area of water with the pump running and brush it out instead of leaving it sitting in piles, so it disperses evenly. Adding near the return jets speeds things up, and pre-dissolving works too
• Give It a Day Before Swimming: Allow 24 hours for the salt to dissolve fully and circulate through the chlorine generator before anyone gets in. Then test and rebalance chlorine, pH and alkalinity as needed.
• Keeping Levels Topped Up: Most pools need a top up around every one to three months through swim season, and again after any heavy rain or a backwash. Your generator low salt alert will flag it, or check it yourself with a meter or test strips
