The palm grows in the wild at lower elevations across Colombia, so there is no need to start tagua plantations. Locals collect fruit from the forest floor year-round after it falls from the tree, and the seeds are then extracted and dried. Each piece is handmade completed. The artisans slice the nuts, tint them in simmering pots of colorful dye and assemble the pieces into different shapes, color and sizes. We have a great variety of beds, buttons, necklaces, bracelets and frames, among others. Corozo / Tagua / Natural Jewelry Supplies Tagua Nut, ‘ivory nut’ or ‘vegetable ivory’, Tagua nut vegetable ivory is found in Colombia, Perú, Ecuador, Panamá, Brazil. The Tagua Nuts are Eco-friendly and handmade by a family of artisans in South America. Nuts dimensions vary due the natural irregular shape.
