About this item
- PUT THEM IN A SONG RIGHT AWAY: anyone can play these claves, regardless of skill; their bright wood tone cuts through music nicely when struck together without blaring "clack" sounds
- WHY IT MATTERS: their naturally musical tone can instantly change the feel of your music, even if you're not sure how to play them; add to songs live or in the studio
- CATCH UP QUICK: one big reason our Traditional Claves are so popular is they have identical shape and weight, so there's practically no learning curve; just hold them with a loose grip to let the wood resonate as you strike them together
- DRIVING THE SOUND: made of solid Indian walnut with consistent grain and color to get a deeply resonant effect; our durable finish seals the wood while letting it respond fully
- OF NOTE: Meinl Traditional Claves are multi-use; they can be played in traditional Cuban and Afro-Latin music, contemporary styles, drum circles, and they're perfect in classrooms to teach students about rhythm
- SPECS: 8" L x 1" W, 4 oz. each, sold as a pair, model CL4IW
- THE BOTTOM LINE: there's no limit on where these claves can be used, and they're made to last
