• Starting Your Cut: If cutting a short piece of Formica laminate and the cut isn't complete, push the double-cut blade forward. A slight wiggle might be needed to start it moving. Once started, continue making partial cuts, advancing the blade each time, to cut long lengths smoothly.
• Mind the Grain: Always cut with the laminate's grain direction (usually the long direction of the sheet) to minimize chipping and breakage.
• Clear Debris: Stop frequently during cutting to clear accumulated chips from the blade and cutting area. This keeps the cut clean and the blade working effectively.
