About this item

• 100% BLACK CURRANT RIBES NIGRUM: powbab Dried Black Currants are naturally dried currants unsweetened and not Zante Currants or black raisins. Unsulfured and unsweetened, with no sunflower oil or apple juice concentrate for optimal nutrition. These do not taste like raisins or look like them; they are not grapes. DRY, CHEWY, NOT MOIST WITH SUGAR OR OIL. NOT ZANTE RAISINS. REAL BLACK CURRANTS. If needed, soak blackcurrants in water to make moist.
• SUPERIOR NUTRITION: powbab Dried Black Currants have higher nutrition benefits than Zante currants, black raisins, muscat raisins, organic golden raisins unsulfured, or even unsweetened raisins. The powbab's black currant is a specific and different species called Ribes Nigrum. They are not common grape raisins that many cheaper sellers claim are currants, when they are just sweet moist dried grapes (or raisins). Real Ribes Nigrum are berries, not grapes.
• GROWN IN FINLAND: Dehydrated black currant berry that contains no sulfites or additives, and are unsulfured. A perfect choice when looking for organic currants or black currant organic currants for baking, especially scone recipes.
• REAL DRIED BLACK CURRANT: Distinct flavor of currants fruit that can be used in smoothies, currant jelly, black currant tea, blackcurrant jam preserve, currant jam, any currant fruit recipes, or combine with blackcurrant powder if needed. Excellent when looking for a black currant dry product and can be rehydrated if needed for recipes.
