Mudtools Shape 2 Polymer Rib, Blue Firm - Throwing Pottery Tool

About this item

• THE ORIGINAL MUDTOOLS WORKHORSE — Shape 2 was the firstborn in the Mudtools family, a remake of Michael Sherrill's favorite old rib, and it is still the workhorse for throwing, smoothing and compressing clay.
• FIRM BLUE POLYMER — Blue is the firmest flex in the Shape 2 range, so it holds its edge under pressure when you are compressing a wall or truing a form in stiffer clay.
• BURR-FREE POLYMER EDGE — Mudtools polymer resists wear and the formation of burrs that a cut plastic rib develops. With regular use the working edge becomes burnished rather than rough, so it stays kind to soft clay.
• FIVE FLEX GRADES IN THIS FAMILY — Pink is Ultra Soft, Red Very Soft, Yellow Soft, Green Medium and Blue Firm. Match the flex to your clay body and to the stage of the pot, or keep more than one grade within reach.
• MADE IN THE USA BY MUDTOOLS — Designed by potter Michael Sherrill. Use it wet on the wheel or dry on hand-built and sculpted ceramics, and it rinses clean in seconds.
