About this item

• FITS 18” ROOT BALLS
• IDEAL FOR 10–25 GALLON TREES & SHRUBS - Designed for newly planted trees and shrubs with root balls up to approximately 18” diameter (typical 10–25 gallon container sizes range 16”–23”). For root balls larger than 24”, use the 48” SteadySpring Tree Mat for proper coverage and performance.
• USES UP TO 99% LESS WATER THAN TRADITIONAL TREE WATERING BAGS - Advanced soil moisture stabilization reduces water waste season after season. Eliminates constant refilling while improving tree establishment, reducing transplant shock, and promoting stronger root development.
• 30+ DAYS OF IRRIGATION WITH JUST 1” OF RAIN PER MONTH - Soak it once (1–3 hours), install, and let it work. When properly sized and installed, the mat can function for 30+ days without additional watering. Rain and snow naturally recharge the system—often requiring little to no manual refilling for months.
• YEAR-ROUND PROTECTION
• WORKS IN FREEZING CLIMATES - Leave installed in all seasons. Absorbs snow and rain while helping protect roots from temperature swings, frost exposure, and deicing salt intrusion. In colder regions, leave in place one year per inch of tree caliper, plus one additional year for optimal establishment.
• SOIL MOISTURE STABILIZER – PREVENTS OVERWATERING & ROOT ROT - Absorbs excess moisture when soil is saturated and slowly releases it only as soil dries. Maintains ideal root-zone moisture (target 4–7 on most moisture meters) to prevent drought stress and waterlogged conditions.
• BUILT-IN WEED BARRIER CONSERVES WATER & NUTRIENTS - Durable top layer suppresses weeds and prevents unwanted plants from competing for moisture and nutrients. Best covered with coarse mulch or wood chips to reduce evaporation, add insulation, and extend product life (avoid fine soil or sand that may block rainfall).
• DURABLE 3–5 YEAR RATED LIFE - Engineered for multi-season performance with long-term moisture control and reduced maintenance compared to drip bags, tree watering rings, or manual watering methods.
• MADE IN U.S.A. - Each purchase supports two small U.S. Businesses. Thank you :-)
