Product Description
In the 17th century, many steel smelts were created in Finland. Thanks to the huge forest areas in the Pohja region as well as the possibilities of flowing water energy and a developed water trail network, these areas are the ideal place for the development of Finnish iron working. Around 1630 the steel mill was founded in Antskog, and in Billnäs in 1641. In 1649, Fiskars started and is now one of the oldest European companies.
