Product Description

Can you have Christmas without our favorite holiday classic? Humbug! Fully Restored and re-mastered from the original 35mm negative recovered in England, A CHRISTMAS CAROL (1951) is a marvelous, nostalgic piece adapted from the timeless tale by Charles Dickens. As stated by film critic Rick Marin of The New York Times, while most adapters make the mistake of casting Scrooge as a heavy, this version directed by Brian Desmond Hurst and adapted by Noel Langley, makes Ebenezer Scrooge (Alastair Sim) a good man gone bad, not a bad man who miraculously turns good.
