Lit Letters Phonics Flashcards - Preschool ABC Sounds for Early Reading

Product Information

About this item

• THE PICTURE LIVES INSIDE THE LETTER — Not "g is for giraffe" with a picture doing nothing beside it. Every Lit Letters card embeds the image in the letter shape itself: the s IS a snake, the d IS a donut. Your child sees the shape and hears the sound — automatically.
• BACKED BY 40 YEARS OF MEMORY RESEARCH — Researchers tested picture-beside-the-letter cards against picture-inside-the-letter cards head-to-head. Inside won decisively (Ehri, Deffner & Wilce, 1984) — the same mechanism endorsed in the National Reading Panel report.
• LOWERCASE ON PURPOSE — Most alphabet products drill uppercase, but the books your child will actually read are almost entirely lowercase. Lit Letters teaches the letters kids need first, with letter names and sounds taught together.
• FLASHCARDS THAT BECOME FIRST WORDS — The cards double as word tiles. After the first section of letters, your child can build and read "cat" — sound by sound, with their own hands. Confidence from day one, no screens ever.
• MADE BY A TEACHER, TRUSTED BY 30,000 FAMILIES — Designed by a teacher with a Master's in Early Literacy after years of watching first and second graders freeze at letters they "knew."
• GAME-BASED 30-DAY CURRICULUM INCLUDED — You're never guessing what to do next. A day-by-day plan of quick games takes your child from first letter sounds to building real words with the cards themselves — slide c-a-t together and they read their first word. Five playful minutes a day, zero prep.
