Product Description

Welcome to a galaxy long ago, but not so far away. This is the beginning of a collection of tales unearthed from ancient sites across Earth—stories of a fantastical, futuristic galactic conflict spanning thousands of worlds. In this painstakingly researched saga, the liberty-loving Galactic Union stands as a bulwark of freedom against a totalitarian commonwealth devoted to social justice, economic equity, and enforced equality. But before this cold war ignites into a galactic inferno, we start with the story of Joe Kaboom—a college athlete navigating his way through a vast galaxy. Joe is a turfball gladiator of formidable prowess with dreams of fame and fortune—and no interest in the politics of the day. On the field, his strength and skill make him a force to be reckoned with, but his jump pack is useless without the energy provided by his cheer team. That’s where Ginny Jupiter and Sharon Baryon come in—cheerleaders whose spirited chants literally power Joe’s leaps toward victory. Together, they form a team united by more than just the game, bound by courage, loyalty, and the resilience needed to grow up under the looming shadow of a Great Galactic Conflict. This is a feel-good story, a quick read, and based on a true story … sort of.Perfect for fans of character-driven, traditional-values space opera adventures set against a galaxy of interstellar intrigue and action.
