Solinco Barb Wire Textured and Ridged Poly (Polyester) 16/16L/17 Gauge Tennis Racquet String Sets in Multi-Packs - Best for Spin, Spin, and Durability (2-4-6-8-Packs)

About this item

• Solinco Barb Wire is a popular co-polyester tennis string renowned for its exceptional spin potential and impressive ball bite. It's engineered for players who hit hard and rely on heavy topspin to control the ball
• Maximum Spin: This is the Barb Wire's standout characteristic. It features a unique square profile geometry, similar to the highly regarded Tour Bite, but with an added axially twisting procedure. This twisting increases the surface roughness, allowing the string to grip the ball more effectively and impart significant spin.
• Excellent Ball Bite: The textured, rough surface of the string allows it to "bite" into the ball's felt, providing enhanced control and the ability to shape shots with precision
• Co-polyester Construction: This monofilament construction offers a balance of durability and resilience, providing power while maintaining good control for aggressive swings.
• All-Around Playability: While geared towards spin, many players find it offers surprising all-around playability, combining elements of control, power, and even a degree of comfort for a polyester string.
• Ideal for Aggressive Baseliners: Players who generate their own power and prefer a spin-oriented game will find Barb Wire particularly effective. It allows for big cuts at the ball, helping shots dive back into the court with a high margin of error.
• Gauges: It's available in various gauges, including 16 (1.30mm), 16L (1.25mm), and 17 (1.20mm), allowing players to choose based on their preferred feel and durability.
