The Brixwell 135 Degree Sleeve Over Glass Clamp is designed for glass-to-glass mounting applications where panels meet at an angled joint. It is manufactured from brass and finished in Brushed Nickel providing a uniform surface appearance. The clamp is intended to assist with shear forces on glass panels and to hold panels in position while silicone sealant cures. It is secured using nylon tipped hex set screws and does not require glass fabrication. The clamp is designed for use with monolithic tempered glass and supports glazing thickness from 5/16" to 1/2". It can be used on both square cut and mitered glass panels. Silicone sealant must be applied in the joint to help bond glass panels together and reduce water leakage. The clamp includes gaskets for glass protection during installation. Each leg measures 2-1/16" in Width, with an overall Height of 1" and a Depth of 3/4". This clamp is not designed to replace headers or support bars. Replacement cover plate flat head crosshead screws can be used if needed. Installation steps are 1) Confirm glass thickness and angle compatibility, 2) Position gaskets inside the clamp, 3) Place the clamp over the glass panel edges at the 135 Degree joint, 4) Align panels to the required position, 5) Tighten nylon tipped hex set screws evenly to secure the glass, 6) Apply silicone sealant along the joint, and 7) Allow sealant to cure before applying load.
