Samurai | High-Performance Filter Media － FUJINO SPIRAL ，1 Liter

About this item

• FUJINO SPIRAL — Japan’s Most Trusted Filter Media, Now Available in the United States. The original plastic spiral filter media patented in Japan, the United States, and Europe. A high‑performance Japanese‑made filtration material trusted for over 30 years in professional environments such as aquariums and aquaculture facilities.
• ■Applications: Aquariums, ponds, swimming pools, aquaculture facilities, etc.
• ■Compatibility: Suitable for both saltwater and freshwater environments.
• ■Service life: 5 years to semi-permanent
• ■Usage: Place directly into the filtration chamber (loose or in a filter media bag). Can be used together with other filter media. ・For optimal performance: Use sponge or filter wool for mechanical filtration in the first stage, and fill the second stage onward entirely with Fujino Spiral. ・If using a media bag: Direct placement is recommended to avoid clogging (except in overflow systems).
• ■Precautions for Use: With a specific gravity of 1.4, this product sinks in water. However, the filter media retains air inside when first used, so please rinse it with water beforehand. After the air is expelled, it will settle in water.
• ■Filter Compatibility: Works with top filters, hang-on-back filters, canister filters, and most other filtration systems.
• ■Maintenance Interval: When water flow decreases, clean the filter or sponge first. If flow does not improve, gently rinse Fujino Spiral in aquarium water (recommended every 6 months to 1+ year). Bacteria colonization period: 3–4 weeks (use with bacterial additives recommended).
