About this item
- Protect Your Coffee Station Countertop and Portafilter: This tamping mat cushions the pressure, protecting your countertop from damage. When making espresso, baristas use a tamper to press coffee grounds into the portafilter, which can easily scratch or dent surfaces.
- Quiet Espresso Making: Many baristas tap the portafilter on the countertop to evenly distribute coffee grounds when preparing espresso. This tapping can easily damage countertops and disturb household members. Our noise-reducing tamping mat absorbs the impact noise, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful coffee-making experience.
- Easy to Clean: When tamping coffee with your espresso machine, coffee grounds can easily spill onto the mat. Instead of wiping by hand or with a cloth, simply rinse it clean with water and pat dry with a clean cloth. Your mat will be fresh and ready for next use.
- Non-Slip Design: The portafilter and countertop can easily shift when baristas tamp coffee grounds, posing risks to both the user and the surface. Crafted with a secure anti-slip base, this mat stays firmly in place during use, providing a stable foundation for tamping while protecting your workspace and preventing accidents.
- Food-Grade Material: Crafted from food-grade silicone, this coffee tamping mat prioritizes your health and safety. While its textured surface offers superior grip compared to smoother PVC alternatives, and requires water rinsing instead of dry wiping for cleanup, the material is certified safe for direct food contact.
