About this item
- APPLICATIONS: The 1-inch width is a versatile choice for industrial and transportation use. Ideal for panel-to-frame assembly, stiffener attachment, vehicle signage, and luggage doors, it replaces rivets and welds in tasks like rail car light covers, steel fan brackets, wall or door panels, and appliance trims. Balancing strength and flexibility, it’s perfect for interior rail car construction, door kick plates, and general mounting in manufacturing.
- COMPATIBLE SURFACES: At 40 mil (1.0 mm) thick, this high-strength tape replaces rivets, screws, welds, and liquid adhesives while offering immediate handling strength. It creates smooth, seamless bonds that enhance product appearance and performance. Ideal for High Surface Energy (HSE) substrates, it adheres to aluminum, stainless steel, glass, and plastics such as polycarbonate and acrylic, typically with minimal surface preparation required.
- THERMAL & MOISTURE RESISTANCE: Featuring exceptional thermal resistance properties, the tape endures long-term exposure up to 200°F (93°C) and short-term spikes reaching 300°F (149°C). Its closed-cell acrylic formulation creates reliable waterproof and moisture-resistant seals, making it appropriate for both indoor and outdoor implementation in demanding environments ranging from construction sites and commercial vehicles to appliances and electronic displays.
- DURABILITY: Designed for long-term reliability and performance, the tape delivers exceptional shear strength and powerful surface adhesion. It maintains chemical resistance and consistent performance over extended periods, offering dependable vibration-resistant bonding that frequently exceeds the strength of traditional mechanical fasteners, ensuring assembly integrity and longevity.
- EASY INSTALLATION & REMOVAL: Tape reaches 50% strength in 20 minutes, 90% in 24 hours, and full cure in 72 hours at room temperature. For clean removal, spray alcohol to dissolve adhesive for easy peeling. Application steps: 1) Clean with 50:50 isopropyl alcohol/water, 2) Apply adhesion promoter, let dry 30–90 sec, 3) Cut a corner of liner for handling, 4) Apply tape vertically without removing backing film during curing.
