About this item
- Triangular Prism Body: Three flat sides and internal ribs give the wall something to push back with, so it resists folding shut when dragged around a post, and any kink that forms shakes right out
- 4-Layer Hybrid Wall: A burst resistant core, two reinforced middle plies, and an abrasion resistant jacket, rated 100 psi working and 400 psi burst, for sprinklers, wands, and pressure nozzles
- Holds Up From -40°F to 150°F: The hybrid polymer stays pliable through cold mornings and desert afternoons instead of cracking or going stiff, and the black jacket shrugs off UV on a sunny lawn
- 3/4 Inch GHT Aluminum Fittings: Rust proof aluminum ends with molded rubber grip sleeves that turn easily with wet hands, plus a strain relief collar where most hoses split first, at the coupling
- Built Substantial, Not Flimsy: At 50 feet by 5/8 inch this is a full weight yard hose, heavier than a thin economy hose because of the reinforcement, and it still coils onto a standard reel or hanger
Product Description
FEVONE 50 ft Garden Hose, 5/8 in, Triangular Profile Most hoses kink because they are round. A round wall has nothing to resist the fold, so the moment the hose catches on a fence post or a raised bed, it creases and the water stops. This one is not round. The triangular profile Three flat faces and a set of internal ribs run the full 50 feet. When the hose bends, the flats and ribs carry the load instead of collapsing inward, so sharp creases have a much harder time forming. When one does form, the shape keeps it loose rather than locked, and a quick shake of the line clears it. It is not magic, and no hose is truly kink proof, but the difference against a round hose of the same price is easy to feel the first time you drag it around a corner. Four layers, and why it has some heft Inside the jacket sit a burst resistant core, two reinforced middle plies, and an abrasion resistant outer cover. Rated 100 psi working and 400 psi burst, against typical household supply of 40 to 60 psi. That construction is also why this hose has real weight to it. If you are coming off a thin big box hose, expect a noticeably more substantial coil in your hands. That mass is the reinforcement, and it is the reason the hose does not balloon, crush under a tire, or split at the spigot after one season. Cold mornings and hot afternoons The hybrid polymer holds its flexibility from minus 40 to 150 F. It will not turn into a stiff hoop in an early spring frost, and it will not go soft and sticky on a July driveway. The black UV resistant jacket is built for hoses that live outside year round. One honest note: a black hose sitting in full desert sun will heat the water standing inside it. Run it for a minute before you water tender plants or fill a pet bowl. The fittings Standard 3/4 inch GHT threads, male on one end and female on the other, so it mates to US spigots, timers, splitters, sprinklers, reels, and a second hose when you need another 50 feet. The couplings are solid aluminum, chosen because it will not rust and does not add the weight of brass. Each end carries a molded rubber grip sleeve so you can turn it with wet hands, and a strain relief collar behind it to protect the spot where hoses usually fail first. Before your first connection The female end ships with a rubber washer already seated. Some accessories arrive with a washer of their own. Two stacked washers will not seal, so check and keep only one before you tighten. Hand tight is enough. Do not wrench it. In the box: 1 x 50 ft garden hose, 3/4 in GHT aluminum male and female fittings, 1 spare rubber washer
