The Traditional Handcrafted Process Every bar of our soap is a labor of love, following a meticulous, ancient method: Paste Making: Olive oil is saponified by boiling it with water and soda. Laurel oil (from the bay leaf and seed) is then added and thoroughly mixed until the paste thickens and turns green. Hardening & Cutting: The thickened dough is kept in molds to harden. Once it has hardened sufficiently, soap bars are obtained by cutting. Aged for perfection: Our resulting soap bars are left to cure out of the sun for at least 12 months until the soap turns golden all the way from inside out.
