The iFilters CBSM-2510 is a 0.5 micron coconut shell carbon block water filter cartridge designed for standard 2.5" x 10" housings used in under sink, countertop, drinking water, RO pre-filter, and point-of-use filtration systems. It is compatible with iSpring CKC1C systems and FC15 filters, as well as many standard 10" x 2.5" carbon block cartridge replacements including Pentek CBC-10, GE FXWTC, FX12P, Culligan D-10A, D-10, Aquaboon CTO, ICEPURE CTO10, and other compatible models. Built with high-quality activated coconut shell carbon, the dense 0.5 micron carbon block provides strong adsorption performance, large internal surface area, and extended water contact time. This design helps reduce 99% of chlorine taste and odor, VOCs, pesticides, herbicides, bad taste, odor, and common organic contaminants while helping reduce fine sediment, dirt, rust, sand, suspended particles, cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, select bacteria, mold spores, and asbestos. The CBSM-2510 is NSF/ANSI 42 certified for chlorine taste and odor reduction and made with food-grade, FDA-approved materials for added confidence in quality and safety. Use this cartridge to improve municipal tap water for drinking, cooking, coffee, tea, beverages, ice, and everyday household use. Recommended replacement is every 6 months or up to 750 gallons, depending on incoming water quality, water pressure, and daily consumption. This carbon block filter improves taste, odor, VOC, sediment, and fine-particle filtration, but it does not reduce total dissolved solids. TDS reduction typically requires reverse osmosis filtration.
